SHEDFEST SIZZLES
27/06/2018
What a belter! They came in their thousands to one of the biggest gigs of the summer in the south east. Record temperatures and massive crowds meant the shed rocked like never before.
Headliners “Cornerboy” had the shed in the palm of their hands as they reeled off a cracker of a set underlining why they are one of the most popular gigging bands in the country. “Fit For Kings” opened the bill with an energetic set which included their new single “Monster” which should see them continue their impressive upward curve. Late additions Luke Cosgrave and Des Tobin of Green Electric had the pleasure of the open air stage. Their mix of traditional and classic hits had the crowd enthralled in what was one of the highlights of the night.
New features in this year’s Shedfest included a Gin bar which featured Jackford Potato Spirits, Blackwater Gin and Poachers Premium Mixers and also Yellowbelly Beer from Wexford town. This was a great opportunity for these local businesses to showcase their brands which proved to be a big hit with the Shedfesters.
The Shedfest committee would like to thank the army of volunteers who make this event possible every year and also our loyal local business community who prove so generous with their resources and expertise. They would also like to thank the local Gardai for all their help in the weeks leading up to the event.
Finally, a big thank you to all the Shedfesters who continue to make the Shedfest such a memorable night and we hope to see you next year as we head for Shedfest10.
